Kick off the Christmas Season with the Wessex Christmas Fair on Saturday 21st November 11-2pm
As well as the very popular Tombolas, pocket money games, face painting and tattoos, there will also be stalls with lovely ideas for gifts; a food court offering a mouth-watering selection of hot and cold food and drinks, the very popular photo booth (put your lippy on and your cheesiest Christmas jumper!) and a crafts room where you will be able to make, decorate and post your letter to Father Christmas.
And for the first time, this year we will be having our very own ‘Great Wessex Bake Off’ with a money prize for the classroom with the most cakes donated and an individual category for the yummiest cake, so get your bake on!
As ever, volunteers to help before, during and after the event are welcome. Email the PTA on email@example.com to let us know you can help.
The Coop in Wessex Way have nominated our PTA as their charity of the year. As you know, this year we are fundraising for the New Arts Centre in school so this is fantastic news!
They have buckets on each till collecting any spare change. Please let everyone in the area know.
Many, many thanks,

On Saturday, it was all the fun of the fair as the PTA’s annual fund raiser was blessed with sunshine and good weather. At a slightly earlier time, we welcomed almost 900 children and adults to Wessex for a relaxed and enjoyable community event.
We were entertained by maypole dancers, Glee Club singers, ukulele playing musicians, keep fitters and hip hop dancers.
The burgers sold out, the bar did a roaring trade (especially the Pimms), the Lions Train chugged around the field and the wellies? Well, they were whanged with enthusiasm!
It was a fabulous event and I would like to thank the dedicated PTA team for bringing it all together so successfully, raising an amazing £3000 for the school in the process. Well done ladies (and gents) and thank you.
Following the wonderfully festive morning spent last Saturday at Breakfast with Santa, please note that each child that came will receive a free printed photo gift card in time for Christmas.

THANK YOU so much to everyone who came and supported the fireworkd event tonight, and to everyone who helped make it happen. Thank you for your time, your hard work and your money. We hope that whatever you were doing, you enjoyed it.
We are sincerely sorry to those we had to turn away. It was completely unavoidable due to safety capacity restrictions. If you missed out this year please try, if possible, to buy your tickets in advance next year to ensure you get in on the night.
Best fireworks we’ve seen for a looooong time! Well done all involved!
Amazing fireworks tonight. Best I have seen in a long time!
Fireworks tickets will be on sale all next week, before and after school, outside The Atrium.
Volunteers needed to help setup and run the event on the day. Lots of jobs available. Please come and talk to us. Thank you.
